Science and Engineering Centre Newsletter

July 30, 2010

Gardens Point campus is on the verge of major change with the construction of the new Science and Engineering Centre and Community Hub about to begin. Be prepared for temporary closures, relocation of facilities and some access restrictions. We will provide special updates as appropriate. For further information visit Science and Engineering Centre.

Topics to be regularly covered in the newsletter include relocation arrangements, timeframes, arrangements for students and staff, consultation opportunities and other relevant issues.

Important parking changes

With altered traffic conditions from Friday August 6, you can expect:

  • Delays in parking
  • Limited ability to queue
  • New zones where you won't be able to stop
  • Increase in heavy construction traffic

Please consider alternative transport arrangements. Timetables are available for the inter-campus shuttle.

Lift closed

The public lift between L and O Blocks near the Goodwill Bridge entrance to Gardens Point campus is now permanently closed for demolition.

Alternative lift access is available through O Block during business hours until Monday August 23, when access will be available via a ramp and stairs at the entrance of L Block.
