With Semester Two underway, so too is the major construction of our new Science and Engineering Centre and Community Hub at Gardens Point campus.
As the project gears up, there will be a series of messages that we'll need to provide to you about changed arrangements.

Food available following Y Block closure

Staff and students will be able to access a range of food services at Gardens Point from next Monday (August 9) following the closure of Y Block for demolition tomorrow (Friday August 6).

Over the next two weeks, facilities will move from Y Block to refurbished levels two and three of L Block.

During this time, a number of temporary and existing food outlets will be available across the campus:

  • A mobile service on Main Drive
  • Artisans On The Yard
  • Increased menus in Espresso+ in Z Block and Deli+ at V Block.
  • BarMerlo will reopen next Monday (August 9) in the Old Government House Tearooms, after relocating from X Block.

Y Block services (including food, STA Travel, bookshop, chaplaincy, Guild bar and convenience store) will re-open in L Block on Monday August 23.

GP Bookshop closes for two weeks

The Gardens Point bookshop will be closed from next Monday to Friday August 20 (weeks 4 and 5 of Semester Two).

There will be limited quantities of the Gardens Point textbooks and course notes at the Kelvin Grove bookshop during this time, and subscribers of the The Australian campus offer can collect their copy from BarMerlo, Old Government House after 9am each week day.
